Well I've ordered all the parts for my new system (even a couple parts from forum members) and just have to wait for them to get here.

Here are the parts:
CPU - AMD 64 3500+
MBD - MSI K8N NEO2 PLATINUM
GPU - LEADTEK A400 GT/FX6800 256MB DDR3/TV/DVI
HDD - SAMSUNG 160GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive SP1614C
SPU - SOUND BLASTER AUDIGY 2 ZS PLTM
DVD - DVD+/-RW PLEXTOR PX-712SA/SW-BL
FAN - ACCES FAN 12CMX25 UC-12FAB-B ENER R
PSU - POWER SUPPLY ANTEC NEOPOWER480
CPU THERMPASTE|ARCTIC SILVER5 3.5G
RAM - DDR CRSR 512MB X2 KIT VS1GBKIT400
MON - SAMSUNG SYNCMASTER 997DF T/T
CSE - AHANIX "X195 Black Knight" CASE

Not the greatest but I'm sure I will get at least a couple years out of it.

Sounds great. Only thing I would've changed is 2x80gb SATA drives. Otherwise, that's quite a screamer ya have there.

Yes, looks nice, only I would have gotten an 8MB cache hard drive.

It is this Hard Drive http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=22-152-015&depa=0

I'm going to carry over my Zalman 7000 AlCu HSF for now and will see how it does.

The CPU and MoBo were purchased from a forum member, as was the Black Knight Case (which was silence modded). The monitor was purchased from Best Buy and I actually went to the store because the S+H would have really jacked up the price :p

The 6800 GT was purchased from PC Supply Source.com as it was only $400 there compared to $425 at NewEgg (which was $450 yesterday). Everything else was purchased from NewEgg. I also got some DVD RW disks and bought the USB pen drive (256MB) that was just reviewed on [H]ard straight from VisionTek. Now hopefully everything gets here on time and in one peice....

Oh, okay, thats a nice drive then :) Your Zalman should be more than adequate.

I have that HDD, the last 20 somthing GB of the drive are SLOW. But other than that, it's quiet and seems to be a slight increase over my old WD Caviar 80GB drive. Oh, and I hope that you get more than a few years out of that machine.
