Well...i decided to go for a new case, and when i bought the new case i was at PDXLAN which just so happened to have a dangerden stand there..so i then thought..."what the hell" and bought my new wc setup (old one was a Kingwin liquid cooling system)

So after i was done talking to them (awesome bunch of people) this is what i ended up with.

Thermaltake Tsunami Dream case:
MAZE4 A64 block 1/2" barbs
Arctic Silver Ceramique
DDMAG 12v pump
BIX w/ 120mm Sunon fan
1/2" Fillport w/ 1/2" Tygon tubing connected to 3/8" tygon on 1/2" barbs (nice fit almost the same flow)

temps:
A64 3000+ s754 Clawhammer @ 2.40Ghz 1.55vcore
29c idle (sitting for a couple hours)
32c idle (listening to music surfing web working on clients computers)

39c load (playing HL2/BF2/RA2/HL DOD CS all them for extended periods of time)
42.5c load (running Sandra CPU Arithmetic burn in 25 times.)

Original side fan for case is 80mm piece of crap which fows about nothing and the 120mm rear fan which is also a piece of crap and flows about nothing so i've ordered a new 78cfm 80mm smartfan for the side and a Sunon 108cfm 120mm fan for the rear. Hopefully my temps will be somewhat better after i get those fans.

OLD temp with Kingwin Liquid cooling system
34c idle (surfing music all that crap)
47c load (gaming/benchmarking)

My LeetNess

forgive the messy wiring....

Those temps aren't what I would expect, not a great improvement from the Kingwin system. Are you sure you were getting those temps with the Kingwin AWC-1? Perhaps the new fans will bring out the true performance of your new WC setup.

You've ordered some very nice and powerful fans, but I can see you weren't going for the most silent system (Sunon 108cfm:42 dBA , )

yeah...i don't care about noise...considering the slightest music over powers it and normal speech is far louder than 42db...
Sounding like a jet engine doesn't bother lol....
and actually these temps are taking in a room pushing 83+ degrees F. while it is 98degrees F outside......so i think it's pretty good for living in a desert.. :)

EDIT: forgot to mention that the Kingwin kit was with my processor running at stock settings...not OC'd.
OC'd Kingwin temps were 36c idle 50c load

update:

new 80mm Thermaltake smart fan 78cfm
new 120mm 108cfm Sunon fan

new temps
2.0Ghz :
29c idle in 25c room
35c load in 25c room
2.4Ghz @ 1.65vcore:
31c idle in 25c room
37c load in 25c room

the 2 new fans helped alot the other ones were just junk.

yeah i accidentally broke the thermaltake fan..:/ so it's not as loud as it was..but with 2 Sunon 120mm fans in it, it still sounds like a leer jet. but hey it's idling at 25c right now lol

Of course you know it is impossible to have your cpu idle at 25c when the ambient temp is 25c with plain w/c?

Still, impossible. You can bet that your cpu is running more than 4c over ambient. 15c-20c over ambient is more likely what your cpu is doing.

It is actually quite possible...as long as you have decent airflow...the best watercooling can do is ambient temperature...UNLESS the water is chilled by another source...my water is not chilled...it runs a continous loop with no reservoir(unless you count 12" of 1/2" line for the fillport) as long as cool air is supplied to the fans running and good airflow is maintained through the radiator then it is very possible...nothing is IMPOSSIBLE...just improbable.

(not saying that the actual sensors themselves are dead on..Just saying what they say and i don't have an infrared thermometer so i can't get a decent reading.)

21c = 69.8 F
25c = 77 F
Difference of 7.2F
