Well here it is, the official monitor of WCG. I love it so far and it's perfect for gaming.

2ms response time (GTG)
2000:1 contrast ratio

I have not noticed any sort of ghosting in the the games I play. This one's a winner. :D

I had (and still own) a 2005fpw but I'm in college now so I looked at future use and with the lack of support of widescreen in many many games, and lack of money to keep buying hardware capable of running games at 1680x1050 at good framerates with relatively high settings, I decided to go with a newer 4:3. 1280x1024 is well enough for me and this monitor is pretty much the best 4:3 LCD you can get.

*Also for the people concerned about whether not it tilts, it does tilt but it seems as though you can't keep the cover on in the back which hides the connections. Shouldn't be a problem unless you obsess over neatness or have a desk facing an open area and not a wall.

That's 5:4, not 4:3. ;)

Congrats on your purchase. Is it true 2000:1 contrast? If not, what's the 'real' contrast?

5:4, 4:3.....meh, you get the picture.

I wouldn't know how to really check if it's 2000:1 at all times but one of the monitor's buttons allows you to change through different contrast presets depending on what you're doing such as reading text, watchin a movie, playing a game, etc. There's also a setting called dynamic contrast but I haven't used it. I'd rather not have the monitor screw with my eyes and random times.

I can't really put down the 2005fpw as I still think it's a great monitor. The 931c however has noticeably deeper blacks and much more vibrant colors.

I don't think I fully understand gamut...

From the triangle they show it looks like the colours RGB will look more true to red green blue. Blacks on an LCD are just a combination of RGB right? So this could be excellent for the blacks too. I am very interested in this monitor still.
