You will love that computer I am sure. My gateway in my sig below runs HL2 just fine. I would imagine your Sager would run it even better with the faster vidcard and will look fantastic on that screen. Congrats on the new laptop. Make sure and let us know what you think of it when you get it!

I debated between the intel and amd through further research gaming wise I think I made the right choice. Are you happy with the AMD64?

I see your from chicago are an Illini fan that was a close one lastnight. I live outside of springfield.

I sure am an Illini fan. Game had me sweating a bit lol. And on top of the Illini we got the Bulls actually looking like a semi competitive NBA team. Its almost too much for me...haha.

Back on topic... I really like the AMD64. Overall performance is fantastic. It does not generate a ton of heat. My gateway runs super smooth and quiet. I think with the addition of that MR9700 and the glossy WSXGA your laptop will perform and look fantastic. And really, the portability of ANY laptop is going to be better than a desktop. While that lappy is rather large and heavy (for a laptop) it will be extremely portable and handy for those LAN parties with friends. Now if you were a traveling professional thats a different story...
