Sound like your gonna build a nice rig but what is the CPU you will be running on that system AMD64 4000+?

eh... that system could be better...

...not really! very nice :)

edit: 420GB?! I hate you!

Why not get SATA hard-drives and ditch the cooldrive thingies? You can just get SilenX things if you want them to be quiet or leave them in standard 3.5bays to keep them cool.

Also, i'd get a DFI mobo (cause gigabyte are ghey) and a different PSU but thats me, what you have should be ok.

Thanks for all the responses. I chose Gigabyte just for something new. I've owned 5 or 6 Asus MB's over the last 5 years. No issue with Asus just wanted to something different. The cooldrive lites aren't really needed but just wanted to try them. The were not expensive.

Pictures?

If you mean pictures of his system, I don't think it's built yet. If you read his post, he doesn't have his case yet as it doesn't come out until the 20th.

Unless of course your ment pictures of all the hardware...

I will post pictures by the weekend or shortly there after. The only thing I'm waiting on is the Case. I'm thinking of adding a third HD. Would it matter if I added a SATA HD? I cannot change any specs as I have everything in a box waiting to be installed.

Thanks again.

...a third? How could you possibly need more storage then that? Do you do video editing or something?

Not sure if this can be done...still doing research...but would like to copy my DVD's to my harddrives and play them onto my home entertainment center with MCE 2005. Plus, I have tons of music and home video's...problably won't add another..just a thought.

your system is going to be a PIECE_OF_SHIT...douche bag. LOL just messing with you it all sounds real good except id go with a DFI board if i were you.

The LG monitor is great. Not only nice to look at but great with games, DVD movies etc... I returned a 19" viewsonic which was horrible...4 stuck pixels when it arrived and I could never get the colors to look good. I'm not bashing viewsonic because I've still have the one I bought 3 years ago. Still works great just upstairs in the extra office.

Okay, what is the reason why the DFI is better thant he Gigabyte. As I've stated earlier I already made the puchase and choose not to send it back but there are a ton of people that really support DFI. The gigabyte had quite a few nice reviews. Maybe I should have done a little more research on the DFI. Oh well, maybe next build.

yea if youve already purchased it then dont worry about it. Its just that the DFI is THE premier A64 overclocking board and is super stable (if configured right)

Hah yeah...if configured wrong, it'll do exactly what you told it to...problem is the instructions it's given, not the system itself.

i meant the mobo being configured correctly...you know correct bios and jumper settings

Yup, so did I. I was pointing out that even then it's actually the user's fault for telling the computer to do something it's not supposed to. Damn ID10T errors.

maybe so but your argument has absolutely no point or bearing on my original comment. The point is the dfi is incredibly stable as long as all the bios settings are set correctly for your specific hardware...do you have any idea how many memory settings there are for this board? A whole lot more than the memory manufacturers specify.

My sig would tend to indicate that I know. ^_^

Seriously though just leave the ones you don't know what are, on auto...or use RGone's guide. You can do better with some research, but Auto usually works well enough.

But I'm too lazy to do research! Well okay not really. But "TCCD on A64" falls kinda low on my priority lists. Did have something to add to the topic though.

What was the topic again? Something about Gigabyte sucking?
