hey guys, happy holidays.

i just got my new philips 19" lcd and it was working great for about an hour, i went to play live for speed and while i was playing this horizontal line appeared in the middle of my screen.

did all those pixels just die? this is my first lcd, so im not sure whats wrong.

thanks.

Not the pixels that died, part of the driver or the connection to the screen is likely gone. It might get better temporarily if you changed it's position or squezed the bezel around the screen. Definately exchange it though.

here's a pic

Bummer...... check the connections and if that doesn't help return it..

I have this exact same problem with my brand new Samsung 710T, when i first got the monitor it worked flawlessly for about 2 hours and then the line popped up. It occurs with the DVI and analog connection, my old monitor works fine so it is not my 9800pro. It also occurs with the Samsung drivers or the default plug and play drivers. Anyone else have any information on this or should i just return it? And what did you eventually end up doing r4d?
