Just moved into my new apartment at school. Needless to say, this was the first thing I unpacked and set up:

So I got the HD DVR, my homemade steel AV shelf, an $80 720p upconverting Sony DVD player, the $180 HK AVR-320, my $300 HTD level 3s, my $535 toshiba 52HM95, and my $200 HP computer running DVI-HDMI to the TV. Unfortunately there is a little overscan for some reason... not exactly sure why, but I guess it is a problem with all RPTVs. I'm thrifty:D

This is a kickass party setup.

Nah, its just there to play movies and music. Just a cheapie ebay PC does that task fine. It has 4 SATA ports, so technically I could put all my hard drives in it and just have a fast one for my personal desktop and just use that one as a server of sorts, but I'm too lazy.

that is a very good budget setup. Too many time I see people overcomplicate HTPCs or spend 1/3 of the budget on a case.
