Just ordered:

VGA GIGABYTE GV-NX66T128 6600GT ($149.99) - Can't believe how cheap PCI-e 6600s are
MB SLTK SL-K890PRO-939 K8T890 RT ($122.00) - Soltek K8T890
CPU AMD 64 |3000+ ATHLON 939P 90 RT ($160.00) - Winchester!
G.SKILL1G512X2 F1-3200DSU2-1GBLD $232.99) - The 4400 2.5-4-4-8 one

I'll post up some results by this time next week.

This is the upgrade from the rig in my sig.

And I'll be going WinXp-64 beta dual-boot with my current install for some fun and profit.

800XL woulda been a nice pick, but for the price u seemed alright.

I coulda traded the 9700 and small amount of cash for an X800Pro but the 6600GT will probably still be better, and though I've been ATi since hte Radeon DDR 64mb came out I hafta admit, their drivers are still not up to par, so I'm switching back, especially since I do just enough mpeg encoding to want that feature, which works on the 62xx/66xx but not the 68xx series. Otherwise I actually woulda gotten a 6800NU. X800 still has no help for encoding, and game performance differences are negligible, especially with a value chipset/cpu combo as I am getting.
::EDIT::
I supposed I shoulda qualify the game performance statement, with the games I currently play the differences are negligible. Them being mostly WoW and Warcraft III. Though I don't want Quake4 to be a total slideshow, which is on Doom3 engine, which means OpenGL, which means I get a geforce and AMD64 as the engine is quite awesome with that combo.
