hi, i know im new here
anyway, ive got some experience self building but i havnt done anything on this level before.
ive already bought some of the parts i want to put in.
right, the specs
case = thermaltake lanbox
motherboard = cant find one that suits what i need.
cpu = intel extreme edition QX6700
gpu = planning to get 8800gtx but might settle with my trusty 7950gx2 to save costs for now
psu = Seasonic M12 Modular 700W Silent ATX2.0
ram = 4 GB OCZ 2GB (4 x 1GB) PC2-8500 1066MHz SLI-Ready Edition Dual Channel DDR2
harddrive = raptor x 150gb 10,000
extra's = 7" thermaltake retractable lcd monitor
might throw a blueray in along with the 8800gtx, but ill see how xmas goes for funds.
so far i have the case, the ram, psu, gpu, cpu.
but i cant find a case that suits my needs.
obviously it needs to m-atx form.
needs to support qx6700
needs to take pc2-8500 1066 ram
and preferably i would like it to take 8 - 16gb ram max.
so the 7" drive is taken by the 7" monitor.
doesnt leave me with much room. and i would also like to throw a terabyte drive in there somewhere down the line. i dont think i could with the 8800gtx as id need to remove the other slot for the harddrive.
i think the 7950gx2 will fit nicely.
the power supply is pretty big, and with the qx6700 under, i think id have about 95 - 100mm.
now. i was thinking of trying for a micro watercooling system, but i dont think i could fit it anywhere.
is there any m-atx case that has 2 pci x 16 slots?
and any suggestions on air flow, as i plan on running this machine to its absolute extreme. so i need to keep it as cool as possible.
thanks for any help
