My little bit of Boxen Porn!

I recently upgraded all of the computers in my fathers office and I received the old computers.
Most of these are Athon XP up to 2000+ and a few older dual core setups and a couple Pentium 4's.

Total Ghz is about 18.
 
Lovely setup, would be awesome if you put a 8800GT in each of them :)

Ooo, do i spot an old enlight case in the top left? If so, i hope you ditched the psu that came in it. I had one almost start a fire!

 
No, it is not an enlight. That computer is the old server and that case was bought w/o a PSU and i put a 400w Enermax in it when I built the server a few years ago.

I think the case is a cheiftec or some other copy of the enlight.
 
Hey Python, that Athlon XP 2000+ is one good chip IMO. I sold one about 2x years ago and it's still clickin' along just fine. I think if you put a 8800 something GPU card in it it'll "smoke" some of the newer cpus at foldin'. ;)

Oops, Sorry about missin' the P4's. I just reread your post and I have no ideer which chip would be the best candidate if you decide on a 8800 (GT, GS, GTS, GTX ?) GPU, but there are many intelligent folders on this team to help you out.

Only one of these boxes has PCIe slots. Can i even get an AGP version of an 8800?
 
No NVidia AGPs for folding, there are some ATI ones.
 
Very interesting. Were can i look to see what kind of PPD a 3850 might produce? I should have the cash to get 2 of them when I build my new computer here in a few weeks.
