I just got my 2005fpw and it is truly amazing. NONE of the issues people cry about.
 
Mine just came a couple of hours ago, I can't really notice the backlighting, I probably wouldn't if people dind't complain about it all of the time, no dead/stuck pixels that I have noticed, the backlight is def from the lower two corners though, but I think I should probably just stick with this one.

Yeah I just got one also.

I like it, and luckily my backlight is even, but I still prefer my 2001FP to this one. It seems very squaty in comparison. Still I gamed on it last night. Very good monitor. I decided to order a second, since I think it will grow on me and that one will replace the last crt in my computer room.

Now I can't decide which one I am taking to quakecon.
 
nice pic clown.. my 2005 had uneven backlighting so i returned it & got a 2405... this sucker's huge!
 
I posted this in the other thread, but for any of you who think your backlight is even get a good dark pic of your monitor for me to compare? I want to know if mine is the standard or not, as it is pretty distracting when watching a movie.
 
My 2005fpw only had some very minor backlight leakage. The funny thing is that it has improved a bit since I first turned it on about a month and a half ago. There really doesn't appear to be any backlight leakage anymore. Not a single dead pixel.
