My motherboard is acting up.
It's an MSI 845G, which was nubbed by HP.
A while ago, when I got a new case, I could not start the motherboard. I found out this was because the screws were touching something. I got some pad things, and put them on it, it worked, kind of.
My ethernet stopped working, along with 2 of my 3 PCI slots. Along with my built in audio. Along with 2 of my 4 USB ports.
Well, I need to use the built in audio, as I don't have room for my sound card.
Anyone know if this can be fixed? I'm about to shut down, and take the screws out, and see if that helps me. Do I have to have some kind of special screw? Or a rubber pad to seperate the mobo from the screw..?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
