I just plugged in some more stuff and pulled past the 7Mhash mark and I can't help but think hmmm I'm at half my power/rack capacity. I haven't really done much tuning on most of my cards so I'm hoping to have these current rigs up to a solid 8.5Mhash after I get around to tuning everything. I'm using CGremote and cgwatcher together along with tightvnc to log in when needed. I also have a monitor sitting on one of the fan shelves waiting for me to mount it.
I designed a wood shelf system that is built around using 20" box fans for cooling 2 computers each. Because no room is safe from my kids I have the first computer 40" up off the floor.
shelf 1 and 3 is 21" wide to have room for the motherboard and a decent gap before the fan. Shelf 2 and 4 being 11".is just wide enough for the mobo/PSU/hard drive. The motherboards are screwed down. I have to pickup some brackets to secure the PSU's
I'll get some pictures up once I figure out WTF I'm doing with cords. I undershot on length of my network cables for sure. That might be solved by putting the switch in a different place.
*first round of pics will be coming when I find the camera*
