Demoniq is my latest mod. I spent nearly two years building it as I struggled to find exactly the look I wanted. I ended up modding over a dozen features on this case and I'm pretty happy with the result. The specs were impressive when I first ordered the hardware but they're still pretty decent.

looks good, but i realy think those flames should have been clear red lexan, would've looked alot better

I agree, they are a bit too "plastic" looking I guess. But other than that great mod. You get the name from Grandma's Boy per chance?
 
you did a great job there... what case did you start with? I like the feet... the way the entire case is on a slight angle is a very cool effect. I see a lot of subtle details in the mod that are really well done. Did you paint it yourself? Its a really nice job. What about the interior, is that just flat black or powdercoat or what? I sprayed a frame w/ flat black and it didn't turn out so well - yours seems to look great.

I agree that you could do some minor functional stuff like cut out the rear stamped grill (and perhaps even consider putting a 120 in there... personally I like 120's everywhere) but with the case all painted and assembled, I can see how that might be a pain. Mb down the road when you get bored that would be a fun project, attempting to quiet down the case w/ larger 120's and stuff.
 
xnikx - the holes are actually from a piece of perforated steel I used for a fan filter

TheCowOfNow - yeah, I did get that name from Grandma's Boy....such a great movie :cool: also, I was going to use clear red lexan but that wouldn't have fit in with the with flaming motif if it was just red. It was actually painted on the inside rather than the outside to allow the Lexan itself to protect the paint rather than use clear coat

BigDan - the case is an older Enermax (a CS-100 I think). Its been sitting on my shelf for over two years. The feet on the case actually came with it and I cut out to incorporate ground-FX (red lazer leds) which I thought were pretty cool.

The chassis was painted in low gloss black high heat engine paint from a spray balm. The trick with this stuff (which in retrospect is really common knowledge) is multiple thin coats. It looks powdery when your applying it but it builds up and leaves a great satin finish.

Also, the case is already quiet. I used three double-ball bearing 80 mm Vantec Stealth Fans and you can't hear a whisper in it. The Zalman CPU cooler is also incredibly quiet.
The only noise it makes comes from the massive heat sink and fan on the X800 GTO video card. Its very noisy.

Regrettably, the only parts of the exterior paint job that I did were the graphics for the airbrushing. I had it painted at a body shop in my town called Legacy Collision and he (Robert) did an awesome job on it.
 
Wow that is a great rig dayGlowe. You actually made a goth theme with class. The balance on the system is great and doesn't look like you just painted skulls anywhere but really thought about the design. The interior is spotless and that color is great. It doesn't look like standard flat black. Is that a dark gray? GJ GJ!
 
Clean look, I love the custom fan cover(thing?) on the CPU Cooler. Nice colors and a great job on creativeness man. ;)

Cool case, you need a new camera though :D Nice look all the way around. I love the gothic/dark themes.
 
The flames are laser cut acrylic produced by a local sign company. They were painted on the inside of each flame on the sides of the case were painted by a local bodyshop so that the natural shine of the acrylic and translucence of it was still there. The top flame was also laser cut but was painted on both sides. The front flame (with the skull on it) was hand cut and then the plastic skull was mounted to it and sealed with a two part plastic body repair resin.
 
I usually hate flames on anything, but you have done a very nice job!
 
Just a question is that RAM setup for Dual Channel in that configuration?
 
Yes, the RAM is setup in dual channel for that configuration. It seems odd but it is true.
 
You are correct...it is an MSI board...the K8N Neo4-F. Not a top of the line by any stretch of the imagination but solid and dependable and the Nforce chipset is sweet.

This is the system I use at home for occasional gaming (mostly RTS stuff).
