I'm building a new case for an old micro atx pc I have. I wanted to make it pretty small and so far I'm happy with the results.

It is rouglhy 6.5" wide x 12.5" Tall and 10" Deep!

I'm going to build in a strap also. What do you think!

Yea, the tab slot makes it really easy to glue together and also test before I glue it together.

What I really want to do is have a nice piano black coating put on. There is a car place around here that would do it and I think they want only around $60 to do it!
 
<p>Ok. Here is what I want to accomplish.</p>
<p>1. Build a wood Micro ATX Case for my old AMD Duron 1200Mhz PC<br>
2. Install the components and then check for any major problems.<br>
3. Build another wood case for my newest PC, with the changes needed.<br>
4. Finally build an acrylic version of the case.<br>

I am currently on step two. I've finished pretty finished everthing I'm
going to do with this case. I've gone over it and found a few small changes
I want to make for the next case. Another 80mm fan hole on the side, round
the edges and few extra things. Oh yeah and a round hole for the on/off
button. Right now it is just sticking outside of the case.</p>

I just wanted to show you guys acrylic prototype. The wood case turned out great. I ad to make a few modifications to get the acrylic case to work.

The sucker is nice and small! It only holds 1 dvd/cd and 1 hd, but hey that is all I really need. Oh yea two 80mm fans.

What do you think!

I used 1/4 inch arcylic. The basic box dimensions were cut by a local plastics company.

I used a laser to cut the fans holes / power suppy & slot holes. I also used a band saw.

You would not need a laser to cut the extra hole, but a dremil and a 3" hole saw for the fans, and a regular grill would work pretty good also.


Oh Yea! I used a router to round the acrylic edges an some plastic polish.

The plastic polish I used is called novus, and help protect the acrylic & gets rid of static.

One more thing. I found these pre-threaded cubes from a local plastics place. They hold the case side one.
