Sorry, lost the pics for for now, im going to take more when i get my upgrades done ( see sig ).

the motherboard is unstable at high fsb, so i have to tear it all out i get my rma in, ill be able to hit 3.5 when i get a board that can do 292fsb. maybe even 3.6 :D

ok, this is a n00b question, but.....what can i do to clean them up? i got the rounded cables and i tried tucking them in unused bays but its never seemed to work :(

Clean up your cables meaning ALL cables, not just IDE cables. The easiest method for cleaning them up is zip-ties.

Bunch and zip-tie together extra powercables and bunch them away somewhere out of view, organize and bunch those powersupply cables that you are using and find a place on the case where you can zip tie them too. The back sides of drivecages are good places to get those extra molex and power cables out of the way.

Great job man! Looks good!

This is an in before kronchev (errr the lock, but aren't they the same in koolance threads?) post:D

jk kron lol:p

so just because kronchev doesnt like koolance systems and is a mod he'll close my thread?

nah he's harmless....hes not a mod. We're joking around because it seems like every thread about koolance he's magically there bashing it and eventually it degrades down into a flame war and gets locked by a mod when it gets outta control.

I've never really understood this place, but wouldn't a thread like this be better off in "Cool Cases"?

I see no actual tech info or mods, just someone showing off pictures of parts they purchased and connected together.

Not really....his own DIY kit isn't so hot compared to the [H] systems he likes to compare the koolance too and bash it for. He just likes to start flame wars and piss off both DIY users like me and Koolance users like you. Just ignore him if he comes around.

Looks nice, i didn't know koolance made a chipset cooler. I have the black Exos, i like the Aluminum one better though. I i think i need to change the coolant in mine soon though. Nice job, don't woory about the cable too much, mine ara little messy too, but they airflow is pretty good and nobody else besides me sees the thing anyway. :D

i love it when DIY people say things like "d00d, my temps never get about 40C" making fun of my 45C load temps, but what they fail to realize is that im running an abit board that read temps 8-12C higher than actual, which puts my koolance setup right with their DIY systems.

I run an abit NF7 with my 2100+ @2.5 ghz and my load temps are around 40C on my custom setup.

The thing most people don't get is YOU CAN"T COMPARE TEMPERATURES from different systems to analyze cooling system capabilities. You can't compare overclocks either. You have to make testbeds that can test the systems under scientific conditions, like the ones used at www.overclockers.com

dude...chill

Well I do have to tell you that a koolance cannot match a GOOD diy system like mine...and yes, I've had an abit board too:) The koolance uses too small tubing, an underpowered pump, etc. etc. WHEN compared to a good DIY system (however it is excellent for what it was designed to do, which is be easy to install, be quiet, and offer cooling on par of the best, noisiest air solutions without the noise). AFter all my temps never go above 35C and I'm at 4ghz with 1.75volts on the core and a voltmodded video card. Thats why I went DIY instead of Koolance. One thing you have to remember when comparing temps and overclocks is that a lot of times the Koolance will perform just as good as a good diy system at stock or only a slight overclock with a slight vcore increase. A lot of times, it is only in the higher extremes that the Koolance falls behind. Like in my rig, for example. Trust me, I have an uncle with Koolance so I am very familiar with it.

However, despite the Koolance not performing as good as a DIY kit, it is not designed for nor targeted to extreme DIY people. It gets me mad when people try to sell a koolance to someone with ultimate overclockability in mind, but I will wholeheartedley reccomend the koolance to someone who is a beginner in watercooling, afraid of leaks, wants performance equal to that of the best air cooling and fan without the noise, and wants it to be quick, external, interchangeable, and not messy, while holding up for some mild overclocking still. The koolance is great at that, but its performance is not that of a good DIY system.

HOpe that helped and hope that will eliminate any forthcoming koolance bashing by the statement you just made, as that will get the bashing going very quickly (the one where you said "don't you just love it when my koolance is just as good as diy setups" in so many words). Anyway, that was way too long of a post. Hope that helped! :)

exactly....this is my first attempt at watercooling, and although i do like to overclock, i dont go balls to the wall with it and modify my motherboard and stuff to achieve higher OC's. when i hit my cpu's limit using my current hardware thats it. and with this system itll probobly be around 3.5 - 3.6, and ive seen people running alot higher speeds using the koolance.

also, im not 16 anymore and dont have alot of time to mess around with it. my next system, which wont be for a very long time, will probobly be high end watercooling, or phase change.

btw: fawesome temps with the 4ghz system ;)

Actually its 5 degrees according to abit for that motherboard. FYI.

ive measure mine myself, its about 10C on average. theres something very wrong with this motherboard tho, im RMA'ing it

He don´t think you should own or use a computer if you don´t do everything by yourself ;) So yes he is one of the die hard DIY people :)

No offense Kronchev I know you are reading this :)

Nice OC man.

Those koolance rigs keep looking better and better.

Did you buy that antec in that color or did you paint it? Haven't looked at cases for a while now.

came in that color, its the lan-boy series i believe. aluminum :D :D

for the IDE cables use the abit ones that come with the motherboard thats what i'm doing they are more flexible...

i tried to use the antec UV glowing shielded cables but they weren't flexible enough to hide most of it...

did you find it necessary to cool your NB? i didn't find it necessary so i didn't attach the chipset cooler

no, i dont think it was necessary to cool the NB but i figured this way i could eliminate 1 fan in the case. i only have 2 low rpm fans for case ventilation now...very quiet

Not bad for a Koolance ;) ...but why spend all time and leave all those wires like that....looks like hell

That was one of the reasons I went watercooling. Airflow don´t matter so my case can look however it wants to ;)

yah, ive started many threads about the koolance, and every thread that i do kronchev is there:D

I don't understand why you are going to RMA a perfectly good IC7-G...

sounds to me like you are at your chip's limits and are blaming the motherboard.

Dude, you got your 2.4 Ghz chip to do 3.3 Ghz, that is very good! I get the same overclock on my IC7-Max3, and the same exact overclock I had on my previous mobo, an IS7 (before the NB took a dump).

What do you mean the motherboard is unstable at high fsbs? are you sure it is the motherboard and not the chip? what do you mean by it is unstable? does it crash prime? doesn't boot into windows at 290 fsb???

that's to be expected. The 2.4C is a great overclocking gem but it isn't guaranteed to give you 3.6 Ghz. mine is dead locked in at 3.3 Ghz and isn't going 1 hair past that. I've had it up to 1.8 volts and it doesn't help.

anyway, don't tear your system all apart and rma that board unless there is actually something broken on it.

im unable to view the pictures though. i have psyc powers :D

it was not a perfectly good ic7-g, the motherboard had problems with the onboard audio and lan. alot of the early ic7's had problems with the gigabit ethernet and audio causing system instability. i have since got a new ic7-g and all is good.

that is just wrong....I had hopes for ya till you posted that man :(
saddens me when people send shit back because it doesnt do what they want it to do.
And its amasing that Kron still isnt here...
