Windows Vista DreamScene DLL can be registered on Windows 7 to make it work, as hacks circulating on the internet describe. One of the bugs related to this hack is that desktop icon labels turn transparent, however, disabling drop shadows for icons fixes this permenantly.

To make the desktop icon label visible, go to “Personalization>Desktop Background>”

Change the option to FILL and save changes, you might notice that that the current dream scene is paused. Re-set it back as the background wallpaper.

I dunno if it works for others but it works for me

Stardock does it without the hacks. You have to buy it ($20) but it won't do that to your icons. And Avatar HD? Won't that eat your RAM for lunch?

Laptops are more limited than Desktops. Too many people forget that.

Mine only supports like 8GB in two slots.
That's a $400 upgrade in RAM. Not exactly cheap.
