My i7 920 overclock

Max load temps seen -- 85c (prime)
Average load temps seen -- 80-82c (prime)
Will see if i can notch the cpu voltage down a touch to improve temperatures, also AS5 was only applied this afternoon so hasn't set in yet

according to your screen shot, the prime has only been running for a few minutes. how long can it prime? better yet, can you load up both the memory and cpu.

Yep, that's only for an example of temperatures and tha fact i was bitching about the 10c difference lol. But yes i have had it priming over an hour then i wanted to use my PC so will leave it over night, looks promising though

i believe they run hot because of the extra 4 virtual core SMT.. i have a feeling all those sites you see showing temps half what people are seeing are overclocking with the hyperthreading turned off which would explain the big difference in temps.. but the i7 suffers just like the p4's did with the hyperthreading and high temps.. but 85C is still quite good on that overclock since kyle was hitting an 83C avg on a pretty decent WC setup in his OC temp. video on the 920 at 3.8ghz..
