Well, I have a 7900gs with a 7900gtx video bios. I'm achieving a 600 core clock and 800 mem clock. My concern is with the temperature, When playing games my gpu gets as hot as around 70c. Though I'm not getting any artifacts am I safe to play? Should I be underclocking my gpu? What to do?

You should be ok, although I'd recommend getting an aftermarket cooler anyways if you really want to overclock. Mine used to get to 84 degrees celsius with no artifacts until i replaced the stock thermal grease with Arctic Silver 5, now it gets up to about 75 degrees.

70'C is already good isn't it?

Not that it's directly comparable, but my X1950 hits 75-80'C. Great for the winter, not sure about the case internals.

your fine.. just be sure you keep good airflow and you'll be fine.. how ever, the seconed it gets blocked, you could be in for some trouble.. just keep that in mind

Why overclock a laptop? Video card overclocks generally do not give that much of a framerate boost to show a big difference. Seems like the benefit does not take out the costs.
