my job pays better than yours!

will be getting in the next 2 weeks...

amd 64 x2 4800+
asus a8n sli premium
xfx 7800 gtx (one for now 2 after 2 weeks)
2GB Crucial Balistix pc4000 RAM
120GB western digital hard drive
audigy 2zs
ocz 520watt power supply.

maybe i will eventually upgrade that aging hard drive. something like a diamond max 10 or a 74GB raptor.
 
now that is not fair......... :p

I would go with 2GB of ram, but would the latency make much of a difference?

average around 1,000 a week and work about 35 hours a week so... 28.50 an hour technically.

Very nice, that is about what my dad and brother make. My dad is a pastor, and my brother is a computer programmer.

its rated at ddr500 so i assume you can lower the latency, but if you increase cpu clock speed it will more than compensate

and considering i just started at this new job and i dont even have a college degree....
 
Hey pandora your and my specs will not be so much different from each other except i got 1 gig of ram which i will be buying another gig and im getting the amdx2 4400+ and OC my way to a 4800+ using water cooling MUUUUUHAHAHAHA! lol but yeah by the end of this month i will have it up and running. Cant wait to get the 7800GTX!

Oh and i got 2 300 gig 16mb drives and there to :)

im holding off on the hard drives and i prefer to using air cooling because i go to lans ALOT, dont want any leaking or anything.


i just need to decide on a case. probably antec p180...
 
I got the Lian Li V2000 and its the best case ive ever had. Try the Lian Li V1000 its a really good air cooled case
