i bought a barton 2500 from newegg and it seems to be locked, i cant raise the multiplier at all. SO im wondering if anyone knows how to unlock the barton 2500 chip, and can u help me instead of telling me to search google.

are you kidding? if you searched google, youd find out they cant be unlocked.

return it and get a mobile barton, they OC better anyways :D

(and no you can't unlock it, sorry, only older bartons were unlocked, your SOL :( )

Who cares if it is locked, just up the fsb. Just because it is locked does not mean you can't OC.

I thought you could make the mobo "Think" that it was a mobile chip by crossing the one bridge

Uh, you can unlock them. If you'd google, you'd probably find that too...

I'm not at home so i can't grab the bookmark, but google around a bit and you'll find it, i'd try

L6 Unlock

as a keyword search, add on barton or whatever to narrow it down ;D
