I started to work on this last summer and its my first water cooled system , I had everything ready for 4-5 months now but never got to actually transferring the hardware into it until last weekend , I still have to work on the cabling and fix a tiny little leak on the middle plug on my res (hence the container under) but overall I’m really happy with how it turned out. my temps dropped a lot more than I ever expected , my 3.0c@3.45 used to run between 50 and 60 degrees Celsius with a stock Intel hsf . now its down to between 22 and 27 depending on load, I can't wait to get some more time to mess with my overclock , I’m hoping to be able to hit 4ghz with this , I had it at 3800 for a long time but then my hsf got clogged with dust and I didn't have any compressed air so I had to back it off a few weeks ago. as far as my 6800ultra goes it ran at 75-80ish before and is now down to between 49 and 57. I never overclocked it before because I wanted to keep my warranty intact until I actually installed the water block on it and void it. Now that its gone I’ll crank it up this week and see what this thing can really do.

Nice, I remember how nervous I was when I first fired mine up. Now, you got to get them wires cleaned up.

umm............why is you pump going straight into your res? i hope that i'm just confusing what tube goes where...................

yeah you're just confusing them its going from my res to the intake of the pump then down to my cpu and gpu blocks then back up to my rad then to the res

Nice job dude..

A couple pointers. I noticed pump inlet is rotated 90 degrees away from res outlet. Could you turn the pump and get rid of that big loop of tubing? Also it is recommended to keep pump lower than res. What additives you running, looks like plain water?

Nice choice in w/c components. Now clock that baby till she's nzuts. :D

Duct tape shrouds are the only way to go!

actually its not a shroud its just preventing contact between the fan wires , its only temporary until I finish the cabling , I made a shroud out of plastic and painted it black its kinda hard to see in those pictures , I’ll try to find better ones from when I was building it

as far as the big loop is concerned I kinda planned it that way , I got enough extra hose there to pull my res entirely out of the case for extra spill protection while filling up or emptying it. I use distilled water and water wetter for now , seems like WW has fallen out of flavor since I bought all this stuff. maybe I’ll give some of that hydryx additive a try if I can get my hands on some.

the pump higher than my res kinda bothers me too but I didn’t want to mount it at the bottom because it would get in the way whenever I did any kind of hardware change. I wasn't even planning on using a reservoir when I started the project. I don't think I’ll bother changing it though seems to work pretty good and I’m happy with the results for now , just gonna have to extra careful when filling it up so the pump doesn't run dry.

nice results.Good temps. At what voltage are you running?
If you're going for the 4Ghz marker, let us know what temps you've got.
And don't mind the wires (unless you're a perfectionist),that's only for good airflow, but that now history.

Happy OC'ing, great setup ;)

Grtz

Well , i started overclocking tonight and i'm prety happy with the results

Cpu goes from 24c idle to 28c under load and vid card goes from 45 idle to 55 load, not too much of a difference between idle and load.

i haven't done anything to the voltage on my video card , humm maybe i'd be able to hit 500mhz with a little boost there. the cpu is set at 1.67v, this is the main thing holding back my cpu from hitting 4ghz. this mainboard can't hold steady voltages at any setting higher than 1.67 , i tried at 1.8 and it booted to windows but the core voltage was jumping between 1.65 and 1.85 then i put some load on the cpu , it sagged to 1.58 and bsod'ed. at 1.67 it still sags to 1.58 under load but the cpu seems to be able to run on that at 3900 mhz. so close.

Hardware's a little long in the tooth....but congrats on a successful water cool.

As for the P4C800-E voltage problems....yeah....stock it sucks pretty bad. Mine fluctuated constantly and it was a hassle. You may want to look into the droop mod.

3900 MHz is very good with a Northwood. With those clocks and the sweet timings on your ram, you're set for awhile.

yeah i figure i should be good for another year or so , then get some dual core goodness.
