For my first time, I just used clockgen on my GATEWAY notebook. It has a 3700+ mobil A64 running on 1.30v, and 1GB PC2700 ddr ram. So far i'm at 2.61GHz, and a HTT of 216MHz, and ram @ 176MHz. I think I just made my notebook an FX55 :p She seems pretty stable, and FASTER. I just played GTA san andreas, and it was overall smoother. Is there a way to stop the RAM speed from increasing on my notebook, what program can I use to maybe use a divider? My ram is at 2.5/3/3/7 1T
 
**UPDATE** Just got A64 tweaker and used a 150MHz ram divider, that dropped my ram speed, so then I re-did my OC, and now im @ 2.66GHz, and my ram speed is perfect @ 165Mhz. So the ram isn't OC'ed, just the board and chip. I just wonder how safe this is? Last question, How do I know the temp on my CPU? I cant find a program that will show me?
 
Motherboard Monitor 5 will tell you many things including CPU and motherboard temps.

Stock this notebook runs @ 2.4GHz, I did a 250MHz OC, and the notebook was VERY stable (PI 1mb, and prime) I took the OC off, becuase all you people are right about the temps. I dont want to hurt anything. I have 1 of those laptop cooler under my laptop, but I know that it still doesnt really cool anything besides the bottom of the notebook :rolleyes: .
 
I have a Gateway running with an A64 3000+ too and did some OCing but never felt comfortable with it. The temps can rise really fast if anything blocks the grills for a few seconds. It's just too risky.
