Hi,

I've recently started my first mod. At first, i just wanted to clean up the cable clutter inside my case, and improve airflow.
I then opted for adding some UV led fans and CCFLs.

Working Material:

Case: Aerocool Masstige Silver (Aerocool)
PSU: Levicom Xilence 500W (Xilence 500W)
Fan controller: Aerocool Coolwatch Black (Coolwatch)
Fans: 3x80mm AC Ryan BlackFire UV Blue (AC Ryan)
Fans: 3x120mm AC Ryan BlackFire UV Blue (AC Ryan
CCFL: AC Ryan TWIN Overboost CCFL Light 2x30cm UV (AC Ryan)

MB: Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe
CPU: A64 3500+
RAM: 2GB DDR400 Twinmos
HDD: 2x250GB Maxtor Diamondmax10
VGA: XFX 7800GTX 256MB
Audio: Creative X-Fi xTremeMusic
DVD-RW: Nec 4501

All the components are already installed.
Two 120mm fans on the top 5.25 Bays as intake
One 120mm fan on the rear as exhaust
Three 80mm fans on the side panel as intake

DVD drive and floppy on the bottom bays, bellow the fans.
Coolwatch on the last 2 bottom bays.

All the cables are already sleeved and routed (excpet SATA...more on that later).

1st question:
The PSU has only 2 independent 4-pin molex connectors. I'm using one of them exclusively on the 4-pin ATX 12V Power connector.
Is the other one enough for 3x80mm fans, 3x120mm fans, DVD-RW drive, FDD, CCFLs and the Coolwatch?

2nd question
The Coolwatch only has 4 fan controllers. I have six fans.
Each of the 120mm fans has its own channel, but i would like to place the
three 80mm fans on the same channel and control their speed at the same time.
How do i do that?
I have some 3-pin Y cables (http://www.revoltec.de/images/products/rc024/rc024_rb.jpg).
Could these be made to work with 3 fans? Note that only one of the cables has 3 conductors.

3rd question
The board SATA connectors are on the top of the case. The HDDs are on the bottom
I would like to route my SATA cables behind the motherboard, but the motherboard tray has no holes to pass them through. I'm not very good at cutting/drilling holes :(
Is there any problem if i'd route the cables in the space between motherboard and tray?
The stand-offs give about 4mm clearance, but i'm worried about static noise, and possible damages to the cable.

4th question
The fans have independent power cables for the leds and the fan. Here's a rough scheme i drawed:

The problem is that i cannot get a reading nor set the RPM for these fans in the Coolwatch fan controller.
I've tried both with the leds connected and disconnected. Same result.
I've tried with a simple fan with RPM control, and it works great.
Does anybody knows what might be the problem?

5th question
The board (A8N-SLI Deluxe) has five 3-pin connectors for fans:
1 CPU fan
1 Chipset fan
1 PSU fan
2 Case fans

Does anybody know if i can set the fan speed for the case and PSU if i connect the fans to those connectors instead of the Coolwatch?



Well, i guess it all for now. I know that's a very long post with lots of questions, but it's my first mod, and i'm a complete noobie in this matter.

I wish i had taken some pictures before i started, so i could show the before and after.
As soon as its completed i'll post some pics.

I would greatly appreciate any help you could give me.
