Well someone told me that i should not continue to mod cases, after they took one look at this case. Should i or shouldn't i

I think it looks pretty good maybe make the window sides smoother and a fresh new coat of paint.

EDIT: maybe putting the plexiglass inside the case..

Put the tools down and leave them to the professionals :)

That is scary stuff...sorry! but it's the truth

Nobody starts off as an expert. Keep modding. The ONLY person you have to really impress is yourself.

Stay away from all computer cases that need to be modded...WOW you sux.. sry...but really man what are you thinking? what where you thinking?

pretty poor, but it is just a first attempt, so buy your self a new case and give it another go. dont forget to learn from your mistakes

mistakes i see

1) you cut with the finished (painted side) facing up. i can tell by all the dremel scratches around the window

2) you used a dremel for the whole thing. use a jig saw and hole saws for the fan holes

3) the plexi glass is on the outside, move it to the inside and use screws to hold it in.

4) get a non cracked piece of plexi, it is only like $5 at home depot

5) brush your self off and try again

Very good advice and do keep modding just think before you cut and measure twice and for you maybe trice..GOOD luck on future mods...

Agreed. Go to a flea market / garage sale and pick up some old computers to practice modding on.

I've seen far worse for first attempts. Keep at it, they will get better and better.

wow dude...um...not that good at all...you know, everybody has to start somehwere...

problem is.. i seriously doubt you spent alot of time PLANNING the mod.....

you need to measure EVERYTHING...you need to mark EVERYTHING...you need to cover EVERYTHING that you are cutting with masking tape, then spend a LONG time cuttnig it....

theres no point in doing a mod if you only plan to put half your ass into it...theres absolutely NO point at all....might as well take a crayon and scribble on the case, use a shot gun to blow a hole in it, and cover it with a Glad container cover....

spend time, planning it out...spend time measureing everything....spend money on the right parts, in the end its worth it....

its good that you are actually trying to get into it tho, gotta at least give him that, right!??

Sounds cool. ;)

the window itself looks too big, make it smaller and nicer, also you might actually put the fans in places where they're actually needed for most cooling

trial and error != hacking shit up without proper planning and forethought.

Planning who needs that  i went to a hardware store and got some plexi, then whipped out the plasma torch and cut up the steel side panel.

plasma torch + paint = bad...

hell even dremel and paint are bad

jigsaw or a nibbler are the best tools money can buy for modding (aside from laser cutters/ water jet cutters)

Well, now you're just being silly :)

Without planning, no project turns out well.
