My first mod (Battering computer)

My computer that I recently modded, plain' ol' Chenming, now with some mods that remind me of a battering ram. The spikes are the main attraction, good, solid metal spikes from DragonModz, I kept some for use with my next mod (you can use them as case feet too...hmmm). The little skulls are power and HDD activity. I've been through a lot of cold cathode's, and realized that I dont see white too often, so shazam there they are, six in total. Blowhole, case handles, not much else; good reconstructive surgery for a Chenming 701.

Need a case badge in front (tried putting one of those skull led's there, so now there are some ugly holes there), I eyed out the case handles and spikes lolol and put some nice holes where they dont belong, and need to get a fan for my side panel one day. Its my first mod so dont laugh too hard (I guess I can say that because I used a drill :p, now I just need a dremel to gut out that ugly metal you can see through the blowhole fan grill (76mm hole saw...DOH!), not to mention the window got stepped on and got scratched all to hell. But, its a working computer, and I like it.

How much cat hair can you spot?

Great job. A bit overkill on the studs and spikes eh? Did you get them from studsandspikes.com or from a modding store?

I personally am a big fan of the white cathodes. You put 6 in there?? Holy crap dude! Nicely done.

Damn, I got em from a modding site (dragonmodz.net), but that studs and spikes store kicks ass. Yeah, theres 44 spikes on front...sitting next to it can sometimes be a little more then a pain, guess I'll have to keep it simple next time. I'd like to have a case thats streamlined/aerodynamic, or whatever looking, figured I'd just put a lot of spikes on this one :)

There's 4 12" cathodes in the main part of the case, and 2 4" cathodes in the front grill.

I only mentioned studsandspikes website because I (to this day) believe I was the first ever to use them on a mod :D Not that it deserves any award but I remember when a modding store picked them up later with jacked up pricing. Made me sad :( The studsandspikes store has them dirt cheap and they can be used everywhere.

Not to mention they have those frickin sweet bullet belts, that could make for an awesome modding project

dude, does that thing do julian fries too?

j/k, nice mod. Looks fitting, like it is supposed to be that way..

skull and x-bones lights are nice too..

I reeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly wish I could've gotten the skull LED's (Evil sight LED's are the name) in white, but could only find red and blue

First, love the mod. I did a spiked mod on my old Aspire case years ago (I'll post a picture later). I only have about 20 spikes though. Second, I have a question, where did you get those little skulls on the front?

The white cathodes are boss. Honestly, for a first mod... good job. Hell, my first mod turned out really poor, and actually lead me to frying my first windows mobo (I used to be a mac user, now I'm apathetic).

Im sure it's been said before, but I'd switch all the cables inside to either black, or sleeve them yourself. Black cables with white lighting looks really clean.
