I have built an ITX System for the first time.

Here are the specs.

Intel i7 2600K CPU
Adata 8GB PC-1600 C9 (2x 4GB)
Zotac Z68-ITX Wifi
Adata 120GB S511 SSD SATA3 (Drive C)
Western Digital 1TB 1002FAEX Cavier Black SATA3 (Drive D)
Pioneer 219LBK SATA 24X DVD-R/RW
Antec TruePower 550W (Cable Management)
Lian Li PC-Q08B Tower Case
Windows 7 Ultimate

I changed the 2 Lian Li case fans to Silverstone 14 cm and 12cm fans.

For CPU cooling I am using the Cooler Master Vortex Plus

The only problem I have is the clips which hold the fan on the Cooler Master Vortex Plus is coming in the way of the PCI-E slot.

I am wondering if I can use zip tie to hold the fan on the Vortex Plus as an alternative solution so that I can use a better display card for occational gaming.

I only have 1 picture for now. I will post more later today when I get home.

Here are all the items before I built my system. The Corsair Vengeance hand to be changed because the ram heatsink was a problem. Now using Adata DDRIII instead.

I like it but I will post pictures of the case and will show the slight problem I have now trying to install a display card in the PCI-E slot.

Sorry for my late reply. I am from Hong Kong.

I will post pictures soon.

I tested my old PCI-E display card and I think it just manages to fit in the PCI-E slot. I was worried that the clip that is holding the fan of my Cooler master Vortex Plus will come in the way. From my test yesterday, I realized that if I install it slowly then I can be able to install it successfully. My only thoughts now is which card to install. What worries me is the display card's heatsink mounting screws at the back of the display card.

Inside the case - you will notice that I have tied up all the cables, giving it enough space for the front fan to pass air to the middle of the tower case. I have left one PCI-E cable free for installing the display card. I will buy one today.

Space available for display card. YOu will notice the clip for holding the fan for the CPU is very close to the PCI-E slot.

I did a test yesterday and installed my old ATI PCI-E display card and it was possible to install. However, I had to do it slowly. The worrying concern was the screws of the heatsink at the back of the display card.

I bought the Gigabyte Geforce GTX 560 OC card today.

I managed to install it without a problem. I was worried at first because the clip holding the fan on the Cooler Master Vortex Plus was too close to the PCI-E slot. So I am glad that all is well.

You can notice that the clip is indeed very close but still managed to install the display card.

Wow. That's exactly what I want to build. I even have a 560ti already (the MSI twin frozr). Was planning to downsize but seeing that GB card fit makes me think mine will also.

Great build man. I'm jealous.

I have gotten conflicting answers on the N460GTX CYCLONE 1GD5/OC's actual length. MSI and Newegg sites show it at 7.9", but if you ask MSI, or check any reviews they say its 8.25". I have tried asking owners, but no response.

The CPU, Case and GPU temp is not that bad in the Lian Li PC Q08.

The cooling fans in the case are doing a decent job.

Here are the CPU, case and GPU temperature readings right after running the above game benchmarks.

Last week I changed the Gigabyte Geforce GTX 560 OC at the shop to a slightly faster card because I needed a card that can play games at 1920 x 1080 with max settings at a good frame rate.

So I got the MSI Geforce GTX 560 Ti Hawk

Well worth the $50 price difference.

Games are also running more smoothly at 1920 x 1080 max settings. Not the best but good enough for my itx system.

nice, i stated in another thread that i got impatient and ended up buying the h67 itx instead, i think the only difference with the z68 and h67 (both zotac) are the OC capabilites, 1 extra hdmi, different placement of the wifi antennas. Anyone else know what the z68 model offers that the h67 doesnt?
