This thing is a beast! I'm hoping to get 3.2-3.4ghz stable and be done. The machine is insanely fast!

It's really incredible to be honest with you. So much of a difference. I started using my old comp a little while ago and became quite agitated at its slow speed. :eek:

I believe it is a 24 but I'll double check when I get home.

My buddy with an E6400, P5B, Mushkin PC6400 is having a hell of a time OC'ing. He can't get above 2.5 stable. We think it's a combination of his NB getting too hot and his PSU not being able to pump enough power.
 
how can you boot with the bios 0501 ? i tought only 701 and above were needed to boot with C2D ?

You are thinking of the wrong board. The board you are thinking of is the P5WDH which is 975 chipset and does require a newer bios to boot.

The P5B Deluxe works right out of the box no problems.
