Ok i tried SpeedFan and i tried Everest....
SpeedFan only displayed my HD's temp, and Everest only displayed my HD and GPU's fan...

My motherboard as well as CPU were not to be seen...

I used to use Intel Desktop Utilities to see my CPU's temps, but now it just gives me an error and closes.

The only place i can check my cpu/mobo/ambient temp now is the BIOS... and even that the figures seem TOO high...
Its says my CPU is at around 60.

What could be the problem?
Could the sensor in the CPU be faulty? If so why isnt it showing my motherboards temp?

Thnx.

I have the same problem, I used to use the Intel Desktop software for my D925XECV2 then when I switched to XP 64 it stopped working. Before I installed XP 64 I reformatted my OS hard drive, installed XP 64, then tried installing the Intel software. It cancelled installation saying it couldn't install the smbus driver or something like that. Then it started saying it couldn't install on anything other than an Intel board, which is what I have. I don't know what to do, I've downloaded all the latest drivers from Intel, and I still can't get it to work either. The only way I can check my temps is my BIOS also. I just bought my XP-90 heatsink and I wanna see my temp changes!! :D

were did ur temps change much since the HSF change (with readings from the BIOS)??

what are ur temps btw??

It was showing my CPU temp around the upper forties, with my system zone one and two around lower to mid forties which seems high. I had my CPU temp at mid to lower forties with my stock Intel heatsink back when the program would run. I have six fans in my case, not including power supply or heatsink, which is an additional three.
