My CPU holding me back?

I just ordered a Evga Geforce 6800 (yay) and a bigger hard drive and power supply. Right now my specs are:

P4 2.0ghz northwood
Asus P4PE
Asus Geforce 4 Ti4200 64mb
512 Pc 2700
40 Gb Maxtor 2mb cache
56k

After the upgrades i will have

P4 2.0ghz northwood
Asus P4PE
Evga Geforce 6800 128 (yay)
120 GB western digital 8mb cache
1.5mpbs DSL (yay)

Now it will be a month or two beforce i can afford to pop in a 3.06 Northwood 533 FSB and a extra 512 mb of ram. I am a college student so money is tight, as i am paying cable and internet bills with a part time job. I plan to build a whole new system when BTX cases and mobos get out. (Couple years?)

Now my questions is, will running this card on a 2ghz proc hold this card back a whole lot? I play at 1024x768 or 1280x1024 if that matters. It is a vanilla 6800 just to be clear.

playing at those resolutions you will have your cpu limit your card a bit, but at those resolutions you will be able to play quite well.

alright sweet, i will still get the cpu upgrade when i can afford it. Just wondering what should my agp apreature be set to? 128 since that is what my card is or do i need to set it to half my system memory? 512/2=256

great.Well looks like Far cry wont run well without a super fast cpu, but that isnt a big deal, more into multiplayer games like UT2004, BF1942, and Tribes Vengence. By the time HL2 gets out ill have the 3ghz. (ill have it by like mid sept - oct) so i can always play Far cry for fun then too. Doom 3 doesnt really interest my much.
