For some reason, whenever I attempt to move/rename/delete an .mp4 file, Windows Explorer stops responding. If I attempt to add the file to my iTunes library, iTunes stops responding. Right now the filetype is associated with the most recent version of Quicktime.

The file itself doesn't seem corrupt because I can play the file in any media player.

I already used Unlocker to remove one file I wanted to delete (although it wasn't locked), but I simply want to be able to rename the other .mp4 file.

have you tried converting the files to another format or does that end in explorer or the program that you are using to convert crashing. If not why dont you find a free converter on google (shouldnt be too hard) and try that.
