I bought an a510 about a month and a half ago and have been very satisfied with it, being a new user and all. Well I took it out to the desert for a weekend and it got pretty messed up. My brother droped it once while the lense was out,
plus just a lot of wind and dirt wasnt good for it
Anyways, basically whats wrong with it is the zoom lever feels really grainy and when I power on the camera the lense cover doesnt open all the way
I have to lighty open the cover with my finger. For having the camera for slightly over a month it sucks to have caused these issues so early in its life.
I havent been using it because I figured the less it moves the better chances I have of fixing it, when I figure out how to fix it, thats where you come in, how do i fix it? btw it still takes pictures just fine
-I was thinking of getting a can of air and just trying to blow out as much dirt as i can? Seems kind of dangerous to do by the lense though eh?
-Now I also wondered would something like this be covered by canons warranty?
--even if its not, should i send it to canon for fixing?
-Should I take it to a camera store and have them fix it?
Im not sure, lets hear from the pros
