So my only computer that is running is my workstation and that is the one that is folding.

Its prime95 stable for 24hours +

But recently, i been getting random lockups, and i noticed that my 12V rail is dipping lower than normal. Do you think that this is a problem? Or maybe the increase in heat lately?

1.6 Xeon@ 3.2 (1.6V)

CPU temps are 100/104F for the CPUs

i have tried off loading, some power off onto another power supply but i dunno, it does seem to help a little. 11.86V on the 12V line. It was 11.80V on it before i took the fans and optical drives off.

Its a tagan 480W and running 100% load 24/7

These restarts i think are hurting my folding scores...

Could be the PSU. My Aspire crap-o-PSU puts the 12 volt line at 11.75 but it is stable. Perhaps boost voltage on the memory.

your post sounds like boxen version of the Hulk.
My boxen is getting..unstable, you would not like my boxen to be unstable.:D

If you're OCing a Xeon it probably is the power. If you can try using a different power supply. and see if that helps.

Check out some of Ice Czar's threads in the Power Supplies forum. He has some great information and advice listed.

I'm guessing this is on the pc-dl board. The voltage to the memory is really low. That could be a problem, if it dips any lower from a bad powersupply. I would second checking out a different power supply.

I envy your LV chips. I have the first stepping and they will only do 2.7.

yeah they are the D1 Stepping and they are on a PC-DL...

Well I have gotten about 4 lockups total when running at 3.2, and zero at 3.0.

So i dunno. I guess the memory could get a hit since my PSU is starting to "wear" down.

I am just so broke that i can't do anything about it ATM. I can't even ship out the spare parts people have PMed me about cause i am that broke.

It sucks not having a job.
