Not a bad little unit although the RED drives get damn toasty, up to 119F and the fan has yet to kick on. I wrote WD to ask when it should or if it's always running as mine does not appear to be.
Unit is set to raid0 by default which is rather dumb but for marketing purposes calling it a 4TB rather then 2TB gives you the impression you are getting more then your paying for.

reads are alright, writes are pretty damn erratic for hardware raid.
