ok well heres the story, i got the cheapest aluminum case on newegg 40$. was it worth it? yes, thanks to my good internet friend. (Schwinn) ;o) I get the case, get to work, and this is what i call phase one of the whole mod getting into shape.
the pic below has the basic cut out and outline of what it will look like, with the the paint and all. skull? oh yeah to match that grill!

as for these pictures i just finished painting today,and well i finally felt like putting them up here. i try to work on it everyday, the more i work on it, the more pics you should get

VERY nice, only thing that i wouldve done differently is bondo up those holes in the front.

dont worry guys its just a label for a little chuckle here and there. Oh and b the way i did bondo up those holes on the top, make sure you looked at all the pics :)
 
What did you use for the front fan intake?

I'm working on a case right now and made a custom fan intake out of fiberglass and bondo...talk about pain in the butt!

i would paint that red gloss black though.

graphite on black gloss owns bright red
 
real nice mods man, and i like that paint job, dont know a name for it, thats for you, i would call it : Damn! nice Paint. except you dont want to call it that.
 
you mean its on sale now for like 36$
the ones for 10 dollars i can bend with my teeth

as for the paint its called textured metallic by duply color
i got it at autozone, for like 7 to 8 a can, very little comes in the can by the way

the only thing worrying right now is what cpu and mobo ill put in it


athlon64 3500+ socket 939 or a LGA P4 3.4ghz?
i dont play games by the way, i just multitask, video, photo editing, crap like that :eek:

for those tasks, a P4 would probably be the better solution

How do you like that case? Care to comment on the build quality? I'd like to pick one up myself - it seems to have tons of modding potential for only $35.

yeah its better than cutting up a really nice lian li, if your painting it of course, other than that its sturdy, aluminum, and the price allows you to buy all the other goodies :)
