So I have been getting artifacts in games and even on the desktop recently at stock. But I was in the middle of an artifact tantrum so I took a SS. Later after the artifacting ceased, I viewed the print screen I took and there were no artifacts in the image. Does this mean that my monitor is going out? I have an Acer 1912b 19" 12ms lcd. I am currently talking to BFG about the card, but I'd like to know what piece of hardware is actually faulty.

I believe it could be the monitor based on that but I'm not 100% convinced. If the videocard is the culprit when you printscreen you should have the faulty rendering there as well. If it's not there it could be the monitor. That's a simple logic but it's not 100% correct all the time. Make sure your motherboard chipset drivers are installed and up to date and also that your bios has primary video or init disp first on PCIe.
