Alright, I have a question.

My dad has a 2.66Ghz P4 , 256pc2700, TI4200, 120 gig etc.

My rig is @ sig - only w/ 768mb PC2700.

Im wondering the overclockability of this Pentium 4 , on an MSI MS-6701 Motherboard // stock cooling. I would like to put his mobo/chip in my rig, and OC it etc, and give him my AthlonXP2000+.

How much of an overclock could I achieve on this beast?

yea - what i want to do is take his chip//mobo- put it into mine,
and put my XP2000+ into his .

I was wondering how far of an OC i would get on the MSI-MS6701, or if I should even bother swapping

Chipset:Sis 648
Bios: Pheonix-Award v.6.00PG Release: 9/11/02

MSI MS-6701

133x20.0 . It appears to be locked, Im sure theres ways around it, how?

Nothing about voltage in this issues of bios, I gave it a full cavity search =/

I'd stick with your system, then. His doesn't appear to be very overclockable at all.

Unless you want to drop some money on a new mobo.

alright, thanks for all your help. One last question:

What would be a highly OCable P4 Motherboard? Im more familiar w/ AMD, but I want to OC the shit out of this P4, so I can compensate for the fact I have a tiny p33n. =/

Thanks!

All Intel cpus are locked. They have been for years. If your looking for a cheap motherboard just get an Abit IS7. The 2.66 cpu you have is a 533fsb part so don't expect mad overclocks.

shouldnt a 2.66 ghz p4 beat the amd 2000+ at stock speeds ? miswell go with that shouldnt he
