hey guys, I think the title is self explanatory. I have a Zotac GTX 780 OC edition that has a Boost clock of 993 Mhz factory. I am using MSI afterburner for overclocking. For the time being I am not overclocking and the card runs at 1045 Mhz using the stock GPU Boost 2.0 algorithm. I tried squeezing another 100 Mhz which brings it to 1124 Mhz without any memory overclock but what I observed is the boost frequency never sustains for longer periods. I get 1124Mhz for 2 minutes and when the action gets intense in game it downclocks itself to 1110, 1097, 1084 and finally stabilizes at 1045 Mhz the frequency I get without overclocking
... I never even touch 70 degrees with that OC. I am starting to think that my card is an absolute dud!. I tried overvolting but I get the same problem. My voltage never is constant at 1.2V. It decreases to 1.62V during intense gaming. Am I doing anything wrong guys or is it just a bad card?.
