I figured I would let everybody know how my 6950 is doing so far. I have the powertune setting at -20% until my power supply gets back home on Tuesday.

These are the Heaven results thus far.

With the stock bios:

Unigine
Heaven Benchmark v2.1
FPS:49.8
Scores:1254
Min FPS:13.2
Max FPS:105.3

Temps hit 83c

With unlocked shaders:

Unigine
Heaven Benchmark v2.1
FPS:54.0
Scores:1359
Min FPS:25.9
Max FPS:138.9

Temps hit 66c with Asus Smartdocter fan profile.

The unlocked shaders really made a big difference with the minimum and max fps.

That's a good 10% more free performance! Congrats. :)

What does your custom fan profile sound like? Did you sacrifice on noise for the lower temperature?

Clocks: Unlocked Asus Bios: core 810 mem 1250
Stock XFX Bios: core 800 mem 1250

Yes, 1680x1050, all stock heaven settings.

These were with my X3 720 at stock clocks with cas 7 ddr 3 at 1333. I need my other power supply before I put my X6 1090t back in or overclock.

As far as the fan, the Asus smartdoctor profile is loud. Too loud. Interestingly, after I ran the benchmark on the stock bios, my temps have dropped roughly 5c. Guess the ceramique needed to be cooked a little.
