Hello all and merry X-mas.
I am a watercooling newbie. I have been building PCs for about 15 years but I have always dismissed WCing as un-needed. I don't know, maybe I am going through a mid-life crisis, but I now want to give WCing a shot.
I am happy with the noise and temps I am getting with my noctua nh-d14, it's next to silent and never goes above 59c at 4ghz. However, my 6870s are hot and extremely noisy. With my custom fan curve, I can get the cards to never to go above 70c but the fan noise is like two little jet engines in my case. I want that fixed; thus, I came up with this WCing solution for my 6870s without WCing the i7. With the heat and noise I am getting now I don't feel comfortable OCing the 6870s.
So, here I am, coming to you as a WC newb asking for advice and feedback for my WC plan. Setup pic is below.
Any and all suggestions will be processed and digested. Specific change suggestions would be SUPER appreciated.
Thanks! Pic below!
