Ok i have the next rig:

2.4C
ABIT IC-7
Mushkin Black lvl 1 512X2 (2-3-2-6) (CH-5)
Hercules 9700PRO
WD 800JB

My score was 4964 (with timings 2.5-3-2-6)
and 4984 (with timings 2-3-2-6)
what do you think ? good enough?? can i do 2-2-2-6 with my Mushkin?

My Mushkin level1 pc3200 does 2/3/2/5[4x256] 1:1 no problem
spd runs it @ 2.5/3/2/6
With Ti4200 I got a high of 14,729,3dmark2k1
I don't bother with 3dmark2003 as the card is not DX9.
Try 2/3/2/5, see what happens.

I'm in the 5200's with the machine in the sig. But don't put too much weight in the 3dmark b.s. Just make sure you're getting playable framerates in your games.

killernoodle, how is it low? You get 7k with an OCed 9800pro with an XT bios. He has a stock 9700pro. Also, why are you using 200 fsb and a 12.5x multi when you have memory capable of 250 FSB and beyond?

I've been running 2/3/2/5 for 4-5 months now. Passes memtest and Prime 95 and just as important day to day use=heavy gaming.
Will yours run that?
Try it.

Ok! Thank you very much! i want to try 2-2-2-5, but first 2-3-2-5.
If you say your Mushkin can hold i hope that i can do 2-3-2-5 to.
What is the Voltage that you give for your Mushkin kvk 1??

Number is right in the range for the component if my memory serves right. If you don't see problem with games, I see no reason to bother. (You probably won't with most games until u start running 1600x1200)

Ok if you say..
Far Cry doesnt work so well ....
I most wont to put them on 2-2-2-5 for the 3dmark 2003 i want to ght 5000....

Your machine is about right. O/C the system and you might be looking at 6000-6500.
He wont get that score with that rig, even oc'd

I did it :) Although I had to mod my card with better cooling and it artifacted the whole way through the benchmark, it's not impossible by any means to do this. I've seen some watercooled 9700s with ~ 425 core going WAY over 6k. I did have a pretty good card to begin with though...it reached 375/670 stock cooled. Make sure text are set to high performance, set your refresh rate to 60 hz, and turn off all unneeded stuff.

that cpu is begging to be overclocked. set your fsb to 250 and run your ram at 200 with a 5:4 divider. that cpu should be able to do that with the stock cooling/voltage. itll put you well into the 5000 range of 3dmarks03, probobly closer to 5500

Not to worry. I've looked at published results on the 3DMark Web site (FutureMark's ORB). That just-under-5000 score of yours is typical for a 2.4C with a Radeon 9700 Pro with everything at stock clock speeds and the driver settings set to Best Performance.

On my new 2.8C system with a "conservative"-performing Intel-brand 865PE-chipset-based motherboard, I got a 5946 there - with my Radeon 9800 Pro (stock clocks) and the 4.6 Cats.

Ok, Thank you very much!
I really hope that soon i will buy a VGA Silencer and OC my 9700Pro@9800PRO.

Ok...
I installed the new catalist 4.7 and my scores is 5097 and 543 for the cpu...
the cpu lookes a bit low , no?
The CPU is 2.4C mobo ABIT IC-7 , Mushkin Black lvl 1 512X2.

What do you think?
Thanks! :)
