Nope, it's not "I Love You"... although are pretty good too. I'm talking "Out For Deliver", for my new Dell 3007WFP-HC! Can't wait.

Congrats to you ! :)

I on the other hand, checked my email to find yet again that my two 24" Necs have not .... :(

My 2707WFP is "Out for Delivery" as well. I keep checking the window every ten minutes to see if the UPS truck is here. :)

Isn't almost like christmas when you are waiting for the UPS truck and all of a sudden you see them pull up? I love it.

My 2007WFP is also on "Out for delivery" status :D

Too bad I can't wait at the door at this time but the depot is close to my house so i'll drive tonight to pick it after the truck return there.

Me too... The lawn service just came a few minutes ago and I about had a coronary trying to get to the door only to be greatly disappointed. Its usually sometime around now... to an hour later... that UPS usually comes through our neighborhood, so I think it will be soon. I have already removed one of my old monitors from my desk, cleared out a spot, and rotated my 20" LCD to portrait mode in preparation. I haven't been this excited about something in a long time.

On my case, it's now "attempted delivery - receiver unavailable" so it mean it will get back to the warehouse. I will drive to pick them tonight :D

I hate it when that happens and I'm here... hasn't happened a lot with UPS, but DHL is famous for that here. I think the driver is to goofing off somewhere and says he attempted delivery, but never did. I also had DHL report delivered on a $1700 camera lens, when it was signature required and about -15 degrees outside.... and I was here the whole time and never received it... they had dropped on the doorstep of the wrong house in sub-zero weather... huge "SIGNATURE REQUIRED" on the package. I'm curious of UPS will just dump and run on the 3007, or require me to come out and sign for it. I get a lot of stuff and they usually never ask for signature. In this case, Dell left me an automated voicemail message saying that it would require signature.

In my case, nobody is at home actually and I was unable to take a vacation to wait, hence why. But I agree with you that in rare cases, drivers is too lazy to make delivery and tell nobody is there even when you are around with the nose glued to the window.

:( :( Still nothing.... several hours past the normal delivery time... and now I've got afternoon conference calls starting up... :(

So here my desk sits waiting for it to slide into the open spot!

Here is my storying about waiting for a delivery truck.

Puralator (a Canadian UPS/Fed Ex equivalent delivery company) was scheduled to deliver my new golf bag. It was a couple of weeks before Xmas and I was scheduled to leave to Mexico very shortly. Anyways the day before I was leaving (and planning on packing my lovely new bag) it still hadn't arrived. I checked my tracking number on the website and it said "On truck for delivery". Yipeee!:D

I happen to be upstairs in my house when I looked out the window and saw the truck had arrived. I was excited and went downstairs waiting for the doorbell to ring. Waiting, waiting, waiting and nothing. So I went to the door and the truck was gone.

I looked to see if they left me a notice but nothing. I went next door to my neighbour, who was out of town, and laying there, on her doorstep, was the notice. The idiot tried to deliver it to the wrong house. I was so angry that I called Puralator, but they told me they could do nothing. Since I was flying out the next morning I left without my new golf bag. I called and complained but got a lot of, 'Well, want do you want me to do about it?'

What's worse is that this wasn't the first time that Puralator went to my neighbours house to deliver something for me. Our house numbers are in a clear, easy to see location.

Edit: Last week Puralator successfully delivered my 2407 from Dell... So they're back in my good books, for now!

Finally... it is here... now I need to calibrate this bad boy, and also get a black keyboard as my tired old offwhite one is looking pretty stale.

3840x2400 would be four 24incher(s) 2 horizontal stack on top of another 2.

I got mine as well last evening with 2 other items I ordered (1Gb USB key and paper shredder due to big fat rebated on them). It's awesome :D

Actually its a T60... latest and greatest. That is company issue. I do also have a couple of T42s that I use for on location photography work. I love the T series Thinkpads. Now, for the first time though, I'm running it remotely with the desktop on my 30" display. Over a Gigabit network its nearly lag-free.

And yes, the 30" is gorgeous. With the Samy 204T along side it, that gives me 3760 x 2800 resolution.

After taking this picture last night, I realized how lame my keyboard and speakers were. The speakers actually came from an IBM Aptiva I bought when they shipped them with OS/2 preloaded.... so that's probably 10 years ago! So off to Sams/CompUSA I went last night to get a set of Bose speakers with subwoofer, a new sleek wireless Logitech keyboard, and a new Wacam Intuos3 tablet.
