I'm running my 3.4E at 4.3GHz with a load of 35C right now, and might be picking up a Vapo LS very soon to knock the load temps down another 40C or so.....I can hardly wait to see what this thing'll do......and to see results like this from a fellow Prescott/MAX3 user is pretty cool.
Oh, and kudos on the Lian-Li....but you're gonna drool when I finally get pics of my modded/painted PC61B up....especially if I get this Vapo and have it cut and painted to match the case.![]()
UnrealCpu said:you should be able to get 4600mhz out of it.
1200mhz overclock is the max , unless you have a modded mobo or ram .
On my 3.0 C i had it at 4140mhz
my 3.2E is at 4400mhz
3.8E goes to 5 gighertz on vapor
Unless you are running extreme cooling like -100c you wont get higher then 1200mhz overclock and be stable.
Im stable everyday games/apps /dvd encode anything with my pc at 4400mhz
Unless someone on here proves me wrong and shows me a 1300-1500mhz overclock and shows cpuz and 3dmark2005 or benches which i highly doubt!
so i predict the 3.4e will give you 4600stable on the vapochill LS with PC4400 ram

GRAFiZ said:He's running a D0... SL7E5. I imagine it's a fairly late package date as he got it from Newegg.
UnrealCpu said:Yes its the DO which runs at 84 watt compared to 103watt on most earlier steppings. I am sure you could get 4 gighertz easy on air.
I got it at Newegg.
cornelious0_0 said:Cool, same stepping as my chip....but here's what I can't figure out.....
If I run Sisoft Sandra and go to look at my CPU information.....it isn't showing me the wattage rating of the processor.....and even Everest isnt telling me what it is....it jsut gives a 20W range and says "depending on clock speed" next to it.
Sorry to kind of hijack this thread, but any thoughts on what I could do to get my wattage rating on my 3.4E?
I bought the CPU OEM so I dont know the packaging date, i just wanna find out the wattage one way or another.
UnrealCpu said:You have a 3.4E 478 right? Not LGA and thats an SL7E5??? ITs not listed on the intel homepage spec finder.
Is it a 3.2E?
Also where did you get this chip?
