Okay, I want to upgrade.
these are my two configs

(AMD)

Socket 939 Athlon 64 3000+ Retail
Some Socket 939 mobo (im not sure what i want, i have no sound card so the sound has to be good, and my friend has an av8 and the sound isnt great.)

OR

Intel LGA775 3.0 GHz
Abit AS8

which would be the fastest, what motherboard should i get for The amd config?
Im going to be overclocking
what would be the best for my x800 pro

To answer your question, a AMD setup is a better choice for your money.
