I have a NEC FE991SB ( 19" CRT ) http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=24-002-037&depa=1

^^ thats it

Anyways, I have a wierd problem. The moniter "blurs"....its hard to explain, but when I have something light on a black background, it leaves the trail, then goes away in a little. This is very annoying and makes Doom 3 almost unplayable. Here are my settings

( naviset -- moniter adjustment )

Brightness: 50%
Contrast: 100%

-----

Color Temp: 7,500K

-----

Vertical Convergence: 79.5%

Horizontal Convergence: 60.6%

Now for the NV color corection settings ( nV control panel )

Digital Vibrance: OFF

Brightness: 92%

Contrast: 100%

Gamma: 1.0

Is something setup wrong?

That almost sounds like the Ghosting they say LCDs are natorious for... :D Odd though, that is a CRT... Not sure then..

hmm....sounds like your CRT may be going out. My roommate's did the same thing. Finally afterwhile, the screen just went blank and we could smell smoke coming from the monitor.

All CRTs do this to some extent when going from light colors to black or so. Pixels take some time to fade after being hit with the electron beam.
Sounds like your screen may have long glowing phosphors. If that's the case there isn't a damned thing you can do about it. Most people don't pay any attention to it, but CRTs do have a response time. The faster the phosphors fade after the beam passes over them the higher the refresh rate needed to avoid annoying screen flicker and the less afterglow you'll see when switching from light to black.
My 21" Hitachi bleeds light into black a bit, but doesn't do this. It's got pretty short glowing phosphors though- it's got an annoying flicker below 85Hz. I've also got an old Sun CRT which is tolerable at 60 and looks great at 75.
Most new screens these days run pretty short phosphors and seem to need 85Hz+.
