Specs say 6 foot range for the logitec MX700 cordless mouse, can anyone verify that?

i am setting up a computer to use as a multimedia center w/ a wireless keyboard+mouse and the computer will be around 6 feet away from the case, probably more.
 
I don't know about the keyboard, as I don't have that, but my mx700 mouse works from 6 foot away. You might have to charge the batteries slightly more often, as the signal gets weaker as the batteries loose charge, but I'd think you'd be fine. :)
 
i think i might go for the Logitech Cordless MX Duo USB. the package w/ keyboard+mouse is $70 or so.

what about the bluetooth keyboard+mouse from microsoft(~$90)? i've heard it randomly looses connections several times a week, but bluetooth does have superior range.

edit: nvm, really bad reviews on the bluetooth stuff.
 
I have the mouse/keyboard combo that you are asking about and I have had mine over 10 ft away from the computer without a problem.
 
MX Duo should be fine. My friend has the keyboard and I have the mouse, and I can verify the 6 foot range.
