I have an mx700, and there is something wrong with the right mouse button. It's as though there is something inside, either causing it to stick or just not feel right. Anyone know any good methods of cleaning this? Thanks.

I hope someone has the answer to this.. mine does this as well, and so does a buddy of mine across town. We got ours around the same time, and both started doing this around the same time.

I had the same problem with the left button on my mx700. So I just opened it up and slightly, very slightly bent the button down a little. Problem solved.

hey earthworm, can you post more details about how you opened it up?

There is one screw on the bottom of the mouse, i think its covered by some paper or something. Then there's one more screw underneath the batteries. After those are off the bottom comes off, then there's a few more screws to take out to get the top off too. Be careful for the LED and little buttons though, they can be a bitch to get back on right. It's pretty easy to take a part, just gotta be careful and line everything up right when you put it back together.

I had the same problem and I'm pretty sure it's because something drags on the side of the button... on the inside. It was a long time ago, so I can't be more specific on how I fixed it. Just go inside of it and fiddle around until you find something dragging or something that doesn't look right. Good Luck.

well, i undid the two screws(very easy) and looked at it, screwed it back together, and now it works fine...thanks for the help, maybe something got in there.
