Some article on www.esreality.com says that the MX series of mice are not really 800dpi, only by software.

My question is this. If I get the MX510, force Microsoft Intellimouse compatibility, only get 400dpi, will I still get the advantage of a 12-bit data path and the advantage of a 5.8 megapixel sensor, as advertised?
