I know the keyboards are the same, but does the MX1000 make the MX3100 combo worth twice as much as the MX700 Duo? And dont on the new MX700 Duos the mouse has the tilt wheel as well, just like the MX1000?

i dont understand why its so much, it would be way cheaper to buy a logitech wireless keyboard and the MX1000 seperate

Plus if I buy them seperate thats two different RF modules setting on my desk as opposed to one. I was just wondering if anyone had the MX700 Black Duo Elite thingy, or the MX3100. I know people who have the MX1000 and say it blows the MX700 away. I just would like to know how the new MX700 Duo matches against it.

I just replaced my MX700 combo with the MX3100. They keyboard isn't the same, it's MUCH better with the MX3100. The keys have a better tension, as well as just feeling better quality. As for the mice, the MX1000 blows the MX700 out of the water. The precision is amazing. Don't get me wrong, the MX700 is among the best mice out there, but if you really want the best, and have the cash, then definitely go with the MX3100.

OK, thats what I was looking for. Looks like I will save a little more cash and get the MX3100.

Upgrades Coming:
Old Stuff:
MX 700
Cordless Freedom Pro
Benwin Flat Panel 2.1 Speakers

New Stuff:
MX3100 Duo
Logitech X530s

I am starting some online classes for my bachelors at night after work, so I needed some updated stuff cause my old stuff sucked. My old keyboard is laggy, and double pumps the letters most of the time. And my LX700 seems to stutter some times. So hopefully, all this will help.
