mx1000 mouse help!

just got this mouse today.. well its part of the mx5000 combo... i switched from the mx700 duo, but heres my questions.. the middle button (scroller) ..when i had my mxduo it would open a new tab in firefox, however the mx1000 is not doing this.. is there a setting i need to change? cuz this was a super important feature to me and even in cs:S when i had the pushdown set to "jump" it doesnt work w/ the mx1000 so has neone figured this out?? help!.. also i notice there is lag w/ this mouse if u start moving it really fast is there a setting i should change.. i read on neowin alot of people experience lag issues and others expereicne no issues what should i do?!
 
Your going to need to reinstall setpoint and set your buttons again. Your previous version was for the mx700 mouse. I just upgraded my mouse as well and I needed to do that before all the buttons did what they did before.
 
I have the same mouse and the only problem I ever had with it was when I put my cell phone too close to the mouse or the base......Make sure you don't have anything that might interfere with the signal near the mouse or base station......
 
well i was reading on logitechs support forums and i noticed that people w/ the 5000 lazer combo have the same issue, because the mouse is ran on bluetooth, so they said they took the dongle from the back of their pc and ran a usb extension cable up to the desk and taped it to the desk and it supposed to work.. well... i have dell lcds so they have usb ports built in so i just plugged it up on the underside of the monitor and seems to be working well, altho i still will be calling logitech because thats sorta BS, chances are they'll send me a another free combo and ill just have a extra one incase suttim happens to this, btw if ur looking for a new combo this is the one to get the fucking keyboard feels awsome.. and its around 150$USD
